The DVD recounts the life and works of the painter:  it features  the documentary broadcasted on the Mediaset channels and some additional contents. It is  an exceptional film that, in its historical reconstruction of Congdon’s life and travels and in the close analysis of his works and writings, introduces this great artist, describing his vision, poetics and relationship with the art world.  The documentary does not claim to be an exhaustive account of this complex and wonderful man, who was able to paint the poetry of nature and the hidden beauty of reality, but it aims to open up his world and his personality, enabling the viewer to identify with his glance. Congdon was a reserved and quiet man who was at the same time a remarkable presence on the twentieth century art scene.
